a Little Healthy Competition

Hey there Friends!

I'm excited to start making some contributions to the blog, so here goes my first attempt (this is Beau, by the way). I absolutely love working with my wife. Hopefully that's easily seen when we're shooting together. We've gotten to a point where we can anticipate how the other is going to act and react while we're shooting. The beauty of photography is that we can be standing side by side, shooting the exact same subject matter and manage to get very different shots because of all the variables.

One thing you may not know about us is that we love to compete in different activities (you should see us when we have a game night!). I like to think this is our way of making each other better, you know like "Iron Sharpening Iron"...we make each other stronger. If you ever pay close attention at one of our shoots you will see brief moments throughout where we're showing each other a picture that we've just taken. What we're really doing is trying to out-shoot the other one! But don't worry, you guys definitely benefit in the end.

Recently, while talking with Katherine and Nick (whose wedding we were honored to shoot in February), we were laughing about how much we love to compare shots and Katherine suggested that we actually get people to vote on the blog...GREAT IDEA!!! Daisy and I decided that we would each pick two of our favorite shots that we took from our most recent wedding (Allison and Tim) and let you guys vote on which shots you like best.

Of course, Daisy and I have agreed that there will be no retribution here so vote with a clear conscience! These shots are straight out of the camera (no post production, photoshop, etc) and in no specific order just to keep it unbiased.
Let us know which two are your favorites and we'll give the results soon...

ready...set...GO!
1.)
2.)
3.)
4.)

Well, just wanted to put my two cents in! It's a toss up between 2 and 3, but if I would have to choose one I would say 2.

So, I'm partial to all :) However, I pick 2 as well.

In some honesty, I have to say 2 and 4 are the best pictures I have ever seen!
